Call For Papers

Participate in the industry's most important event for new processor and related announcements. In-Stat, publisher of Microprocessor Report and forum host, invites you to submit proposals for announcements at Spring Processor Forum, to be held May 16-19, 2005, in San Jose, California.

We are actively seeking speakers who can address the following issues:

  • PC Processors
  • Server Processors
  • Low Power Embedded
  • Consumer Embedded
  • Imaging and Video DSP
  • Challenges of Advanced Semiconductor Design

Spring Processor Forum Proposal Checklist
To be considered, your proposal for Spring Processor Forum must include the following information:

  • The name of the chip, product, or technology
  • General features and target markets of the chip, product, or technology
  • Specific technical details that will be discussed at Spring Processor Forum
  • Whether the chip will be formally announced or disclosed for the first time at Spring Processor Forum (if not, what prior disclosures or announcements are planned)
  • For non-chip announcements, please provide details on the product to be announced, its relevance to the event, and particulars that will help evaluate the presentation
  • Other descriptive information about the presentation
  • Company name
  • Speaker's name (should be the chief architect or lead designer of the product)
  • Speaker job title
  • Speaker's biography (approximately 30 words)
  • Speaker's address, phone, fax, email address, and administrator (if any)
  • Abstract title
  • P.R. or Marcom contact (include phone, fax, and email)

Your abstract or outline should not exceed 500 words.

Your final presentation should be 15-20 minutes. The typical presentation will have 15-20 PowerPoint slides.

Your presentation should be technically deep and market-relevant, with emphasis on new disclosures.

Please note that preference will be given to new processors and cores that are being disclosed for the first time at the Forum.

This year, we are soliciting presentations 20 or 30 minutes in length. We will select the best presentations for 30 minutes of stage time. Those extended presentations must be accompanied by a two-page written paper, which will appear alongside your hardcopy presentation in the conference binders given to all attendees. In addition, In-Stat will judge the papers for technical content, relevance, and overall quality, then publish the best ones in our industry-leading newsletter, Microprocessor Report. No other conference has showcased as many new and exciting microprocessors as our prestigious forums have over the past 18 years.

All presentation proposals will be kept strictly confidential. Proposals may be preceded or accompanied by appropriate non-disclosure agreements.

Please submit proposals via Online Form

Deadline for proposals is January 31, 2005.

Notification
You will be notified of the status of your proposal by February 24, 2005. If accepted, our speaker coordinator will contact you immediately with a timeline for the development of your presentation.
